Complete Shop Fabrication Services

Since 1978, Carolina Engineering and Conveyor Inc. has been working with

industrial customers to improve their material handling and air pollution control systems.

During that time, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in many different types

of industries including primary metals producers, cement plants, wood and forest products,

rock and aggregate processors, and chemical manufacturing facilities.

FABRICATION

To support the needs of our customers, we offer the services of a Complete Fabrication

Shop. In 2001, we expanded our existing shop of 8,000 square feet to 20,000 square feet

HOME under roof.

Tanks and bins of all shapes and sizes, from 14 gage to 3/4" plate wall thickness.

Metal Cutting Capability

Shearing: 20 gage sheet through 1/4" plate (steel)

CNC turret: Amada 344 turret punch for processing +/_ 0.005"

Plasma cutting: Komatsu Razor high definition plasma cutting center with capability

to handle steel to 3/4", stainless steel to 1/2" and aluminum to 5/8" thickness.

Sawing: Band sawing to 8" square

Ironworker: Scotchman ironworker 65-ton capacity

Material Forming Equipment

Press Brake: Niagra 175 ton with 12'-1" standard radius tooling and precision ground

tooling for close tolerance applications. This unit is fitted with a Hurco CNC back

gage.

Plate rolling: Initial pinch type with capacity for 5/16" plate to 96" wide, 3/8" plate

to 60" wide and 1/2" plate to 48" wide.

Welding

We perform all types of welding including MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW on mild steel,

stainless steel, aluminum and many other steel alloys.

Coatings

Surface preparation: SSPC SP-3 (power tool cleaning) and SSPC SP-6 (commercial

and sand blast) standard and many other steel alloys.

Primers and top coats: Most water and petroleum based products are available

in both epoxy and conventional systems.
